Workshop Overview:
Overcoming the limitation of conventional knowledge based learning, this hands-on workshop will give you an opportunity to practice laparoscopic suturing techniques in a simulated environment without fear of harming the patient. This will help you to master your skills in practicing “ LAPAROSCOPIC SUTURING “
This simulation workshop aims to focus on various case-based discussions with comprehensive learning.
Aiming to provide a cognitive approach towards clinical decision-making and management of patients this workshop gives you an opportunity to learn, practice and witness suturing techniques in a live surgery.
We welcome you all to be a part of an exhilarating simulation workshop on “Laparoscopic Suturing.”

Port placement, triangulation, Intra-corporeal knots, Clinical application of suturing in laparoscopy Ergonomics in laparoscopy, Needles, Sutures, extracorporeal knots. Each group will be doing following exercises on pelvic-trainers : 1. Needle insertion 2. Needle Holding 3. Knot on dry tissue 4. Knot on wet tissue (chicken pieces) One will be doing and other will assist with camera in turns. Each one has to be the operating person as well as assistant without fail. Whoever will finish all exercises will be practicing on Endo-stitch device and have a glance at wound protectors. |

Tissue extraction techniques – Morcellation, manual, vaginal, power, Excite, coring ….. Demonstration of contained morcellation by faculty All delegates will be divided into two groups Each delegate will be putting the specimen in an endo-bag and then practice power morcellation on wet tissue. |

KNOT TYING COMPETITION It’s a 3 minute challenge for knot tying. Each delegate will be given 3 minutes for knot tying and would be assessed by faculty. Attractive prizes for first, second and third position |
